overview
There are several commonly used continuous extraction towers:
Packing extraction tower is a widely used extraction equipment in petroleum refining, chemical industry, environmental protection and other sectors. It has the characteristics of simple structure, easy installation and manufacturing. The function of the packing inside the tower is to increase the contact area between the two materials, so that they can fully contact each other. This can continuously break and aggregate the dispersed phase droplets, update the surface of the droplets, and reduce the axial mixing of the continuous phase. In a regular packed extraction tower, the two phases flow in reverse due to density travel, with relatively low relative velocity and low interfacial turbulence, which limits further improvement of mass transfer rate. In order to prevent excessive aggregation of dispersed phase droplets and increase the turbulence of the fluid inside the tower, continuous or intermittent introduction of compressed air (pulse mode) can be used to provide external energy to the shaking tower and increase liquid turbulence. Of course, excessive turbulence can cause emulsification between the liquid and liquid phases, making it difficult to separate.
The baffle extraction tower is equipped with multiple layers of horizontal baffles, which change the flow direction of the two liquid phases to increase the interfacial contact between them. The flow direction of the liquid inside the tower is from one side of the baffle to the edge of the gap in another layer, and then to the center, where there is increased contact and mixing between the two phases. The inlet and outlet positions of the extractant and the treated mixture are determined based on their different densities. The denser (heavy phase) enters from the top of the tower and is discharged from the bottom, while the denser (light phase) enters from the bottom of the tower and is discharged from the top.
The paddle type rotary extraction tower is also an extraction device with external energy. The tower is divided into several sections by circular partitions inside the tower, and each section is equipped with propeller blades on its rotating shaft. During the extraction process, the agitation of the blades increases the dispersion degree of the dispersed phase. Promoted the renewal and expansion of interfacial contact surface area. The function of the partition to some extent suppresses axial backmixing, thus the efficiency of the blade type rotary extraction tower is relatively high.
The reciprocating sieve plate extraction tower is a device that fixes several layers of sieve plates at a certain distance on the central axis, and is driven by the transmission mechanism at the top of the tower to perform reciprocating motion. The efficiency of a reciprocating sieve plate extraction tower is closely related to the reciprocating frequency of the tray. When the amplitude is constant, the efficiency increases with frequency without emulsification and flooding.
Structure and Characteristics
Our company's designed and manufactured extraction tower can provide good two-phase mixing conditions. There are nozzles, sieve plates, or mechanical stirring devices installed inside the tower.
2. There are sufficient separation sections at the top and bottom of the tower to ensure good stratification between the two phases.
3. The extraction tower body, internal components, and pipelines are all made of 304 or 316L stainless steel material.
4. The extraction device is easy to clean and suitable for organic mixtures with high viscosity.
